SUMMER, SUMMER, SUMMER!!

This was in June...ya still catching up! It has been such a blessing that God placed Kirra and I only 3 hours from eachother. I am also so thankful she visits so often, it is so fun, I love it. She came this summer and we walked the monon, which we try to do often in the summer, we usually walk to Bubs for lunch or dinner. When our visitors come it is top priority...they have the BEST burgers and it's a beautiful walk.

I took this picture because I was trying to capture the adorable little curls Drake has and just how yummy his untainted milky skin is....you have to see it in real life to get the full affect (:

My friend Kersten came out and I HAD to take her to Noblesville, it is such a fun little town right by where I live. The exciting part is she is moving here soon, just 30 minutes from me...I can't wait to help her get settled in her new home!

This is what happens when you run upstairs to switch the laundry...

What is it with boys and dirt??

Can you see the cheerios on those noses?

Pool time!! This is Drew's buddy Jaden

Olivia and Drake, isn't she so pretty? She is my friend Shay's little girl, she loves holding my babies, she just swings her hip out and carries them around, such a pro. She just played with Drake nonstop, I felt kidless at the pool that day, I almost forgot what that was like (: going to the pool and actually laying on a chair??

Joey's favorite homemade dessert is Cream Puffs, so I made him some for Father's Day and Drew had his very first Cream Puff experience!

Going on a bike ride before bed!

Drake LOVES his brother....we are working on Drew, I have started brain washing them...when I say "BROTHERS!" I have Drew say, "LOVE EACHOTHER!" Not sure why Drew struggles with Drake, besides that he is a sinner that is naturally going to love himself more then anyone else..but really Drake is SO easy to love!! Maybe that is why...maybe Drew is jealous....no matter the reason the root is Drew's sin, I am praying he will show his brother kindness and love like Christ shows us.
My good friend here asked her mom if she had any good ideas for me. So she had some GREAT ideas and I will share them with you mommies out there and some day gonna be mommies!! We are now memorizing (all of us) verses on kindness, anger, love, putting others first and so on and talking about them all day long... then in times of discipline I remind Drew of one of the verses...which ever verse fits the situation best and we talk through it and how it applies to him in that situation. Also, in our morning devotions, (the boys and I) we have been reading about Saul and his jealousy and anger and how much it affected his relationships. It has been really good and not only for Drew! For me too! And last but definitely not least we are praying about it often...prayer is powerful...never push it to the side, God is intimately acquainted in all our ways. He cares.

Sweet sweet post, Erin!! I can't say it enough how happy it makes me that you're back to blogging. It makes me feel like I can be a part of your sweet family! I love the BROTHERS - LOVE EACH OTHER part. So true. We never have to teach our children to do the wrong thing, it comes naturally, but we have to work and work to get them to choose to do the right thing. Keep up the good work, Erin. The Lord will bless you for it! Love you!

Erin Marie, you are always amazing me at how good of a mommy you are. You are so consistant and so good about teaching your boys about God's Word. Just think of how close these boys are going to be when they get older. They are going to be best buddies. You are doing a fantastic job with them my friend. Keep working hard, we will soon see the fruits of our labor!! You know I love and adore you!

I love this - such good advice. I'm going to start doing the same thing. My girls do love each other a lot...but sometimes they do little things that are not loving or kind to each other. And I do the same thing - remind them that they are family and they need to love each other and treat each other kindly, etc. But I like the verses thing...it's a good reminder of how we all need to be with each other. Thanks...and good luck! ;)
